A picture is worth a 1000 words...

Being nominated for ELLE Magazine Woman Of The Year 2023 in the Technology category was a very pleasant surprise and I am grateful for the recognition.

As 2023 draws to a close, it is sometimes necessary to look back and take stock.

Without a doubt, the launch of EFFEX is the highlight of the year 🚀 . The first part of the year was a rollercoaster ride between the 2nd of June, when we officially incorporated, and the 30th of June, when we raised the money.In parallel, there were columns for De Tijd, the new board mandate at Ethias, keynotes, podcasts, The Ada Talks, being a mum...

It would be unfair to only mention the highlights and present only good news. The last few months have not been easy. While we are making great progress with EFFEX and so many exciting things are happening, there have been some heartfelt changes in my personal life.

As 2024 approaches, instead of wishing everyone success and resilience (veerkracht), I would like to wish you and me more gentleness and "veerzacht"*, because sometimes a picture only tells half the story.
